Chamber Networks - Meet the Buyer

In partnership with Walsall Council this aims at encouraging local procurement by introducing buyers to companies in the local area, and to help suppliers understand the range and scope of purchasing available locally. The style will be a relaxed round table style with a mixture of short presentations and focused meetings. This is a great chance to widen your contacts and update your contact lists.
Attending will be Defence Suppliers’ Service - the Ministry of Defence’s focal point for the provision of advice and guidance to companies wishing to sell their products and services to the MOD - who spend £18.58 billion a year in procuring a wide variety of products and services.   Walsall Council Property Services procurement team, The Accord Group and George Koch Sons Europe Ltd - a world leader in the design, construction and installation of finishing systems who supply manufacturers including Ford Motor Company, Nissan, General Motors, Bentley, B.M.W., Honda, Jaguar, LandRover, JCB, NACCO, and Airbus.  It is our aim to introduce Suppliers to key large organisations in the Walsall area so attend with your business cards

The Directors Toolkit

Unvented Hot Water - BMET

This one day course is intended for plumbers and heating engineers. It is also very useful for anyone working with solar thermal hot water.
There are no entry requirements for this course but it is primarily aimed at those already working in the plumbing and heating industry and already have knowledge of the fundamental requirements of hot and cold water systems and central heating systems.
You will be provided with a self-study pack at least two weeks before the course. The unit is assessed by a multiple choice question paper.

The practicality of Total Productive Maintenance in the real world – how relevant is it to the SME manufacturer  and can it truly save money?  How Black Country manufacturers are helping build a new Steam locomotive” Kevin West, Design Engineer describes the task to build a new LMS Patriot express passenger steam locomotive from the original 1930 Sir Henry Fowler parallel boiler design. The locomotive will be capable of running on the mainline once finished. It is being built using the surviving original drawings combined with today’s modern CAD design, machining and process technologies, with many major parts being manufacturing at sites around the Black Country.
