Think Sandwell - Development Land Available

Are you thinking about investing in the West Midlands? Sandwell Council is inviting developers and businesses to express their interest in development-ready sites in Oldbury and West Bromwich.

The local authority is planning for the disposal of land at Popes Lane in Oldbury and on Kelvin Way in West Bromwich.

In order to streamline the development process for successful bidders, the land will come to the market under Sandwell Council’s ‘Development Ready’ scheme. This applies a one-stop shop approach to planning, design and other statutory matters and is designed to foster business growth.

Development-ready sites are in short supply in the Black Country – a region lauded for its skilled workforce, excellent road and rail connections and access to global supply chains. Both the Popes Lane (4.71 hectares) and Kelvin Way (3.7 hectares) sites have easy access to the M5 and the high-spec i54 site in South Staffordshire, home to Jaguar Land Rover’s new manufacturing plant. Subject to consent, both sites are suitable for commercial / employment use.

The BCLEP, and its partners, are dedicated to removing barriers to business growth and acknowledge that those barriers can sometimes be financial.
